I've been working on my online portfolio this week, the last obstacle between me and graduation! I decided to make a photo collage of some favorites to use as a banner on the site.
My brother-in-law had his gallbladder removed earlier this week. We ran across a whole bunch of "hope you get over your cold" and "hope you get out of the hospital soon" cards, but none really seemed to say exactly what we wanted to say. In the end, we decided to make one out of awesome Scooby Doo band-aids and card stock. Gromit gave it a big hug for good measure. :) Get well soon, Greg!
A friend and I paid a visit to the Light Factory before heading to the derby this afternoon. We felt inspired by one of the exhibits and decided to try our own "Limited Perspective" photos.
I found these bottom-of-the-alphabet monogrammed shadowboxes for less than $2 ea. at Hobby Lobby. Not sure exactly what I'm going to do with them, but I smell a trash-to-treasure project in the works!
Some say cockroaches will outlive man and one day rule the world. What does it say about our world when it's too hot even for its superior creatures to survive?
I took some new house pictures today and was going back through some old ones. Whenever I feel like we are drowning in to-do-ness, I need to realize the to-done-ness of this place. We've come so far!
I'm obsessing over this quilt, so I thought I might as well post it as my photo for today. It's not worth what it costs, but I can still enjoy it from afar. Who knew bedding was so expensive?
I've run out of pictures (and steam, for that matter). I'm cheating a bit in posting this one, which was taken on our way home from vacation last year, but I saw clouds that were every bit as cumulus and grass that was every bit as green this year. I didn't edit this one at all--the colors really were that vivid. I miss the mountains already!
