We had such a fun weekend! We enjoyed our first trip to Banff Film Festival, bike riding along the river, and playing a wild game of Slapagories. Now we're on our way to the NCCCLRA conference in Asheville!

So I'm sorting the laundry into heaping piles and I turn around to find Gromit plopped down in the middle of it all. Somehow he makes the chores so much more enjoyable!

All I can say is I'm sorry for my lack of posting over the past few weeks. I hope that this completely adorable Gromit photo, which was inspired by this photo, will help make it up to you. I've decided to take a break from the "where I stand" theme for a few weeks until I can get back into a routine of posting on a daily basis.

So my short hiatus turned into a mini-sabbatical... The anniversary party was a lot of fun, and my mom's first attempt at a tiered cake (pictured above) was beautiful AND delicious! A big thanks to everyone who pitched in to make this such a special event--I could not have done it without you!
