i'll have my skate medium rare

I don't know if Gromit's ready to start skating yet.

Now grandpa, just sit in the office chair and look into the camera. We want a nice serious pose to sell this dapper suit you're wearing.

Ah, the adventures of Mighty Dollar, where everything is made in China (or "Chana", as one product proclaimed). It's sad when you actually misspell your own country's name.

angry chickens

Tuesday is my day off, so I decided to spend the day with the folks (an early birthday lunch + dessert with my dad) and to get my car worked on. I brought the Touchpad along thinking my dad would enjoy tinkering with it. Next thing I know, my mom is looking up pound cake recipes and getting top score on a few levels of Angry Birds (71000+ points on the level in the picture!). Favorite quote of the day: "Oh no! I'm all out of chickens!"

some like it hot

Some say cockroaches will outlive man and one day rule the world. What does it say about our world when it's too hot even for its superior creatures to survive?

needle in a haystack

Today was filled with poking and prodding, starting with a dentist appointment and ending with my annual physical. They sent me to LapCorp for my bloodwork, which I was told was "right across the street from K&W." Liars. Jersey Mike's is right across the street from K&W. LabCorp is half a mile down the road on the backside of an office building with no signage. When I finally found it, I just had to laugh.

In case you missed it too, here's a close up. It was literally like finding a needle in a haystack. Har har!

a little dark humor

Dare we ask what is being given away?

Here lies a bargain hunter.

hoppy easter

I'm hot, tired, and so happy to take these ears off. I better be getting a giant Easter basket!

somebunny loves you...

He's not quite as convincing an Easter bunny as his pal Ramsey, but he was sweet enough to humor his mommy. He actually fell asleep with the ears on. My sweetie!

boxers are so eggspressive...

This darling photo is of our neighbors' Boxer, Ramsey. I can't take credit for this one, but I wanted to post something other than the dunce cap again. I hope this photo brings you as much joy as it has me. Thanks, Mandy!

oops

Sorry folks, but it seems I've done it again. I shall wear the cone of shame once more for not taking a picture today.

lunesta vs. chan

Even Gromit can't make it past page 1 of Chan's Cataloging and Classification without yawning. At least it's less cumbersome than the AACR2...

tidiness is next to godliness

The bed so rarely gets made these days--I wanted to memorialize the occasion with a photo.

sticky situation

I declare February 7th National Litter Day. The scene above begs two questions: A. Does anyone really chew that much gum in one sitting? B. If not, why did they collect a small fortune of slightly used gum and strategically deposit it where a commuter would exit his/her vehicle? I did not stick around to find out the answer (yes, pun intended).

On my way home from work, I enjoyed an almost ten-mile traffic jam, thanks entirely to some bags of garbage strewn along the shoulder and median. Random items included red plastic Solo cups, cardboard boxes, and toothbrushes (still in their wrappers). There is only one plausible explanation for this, of course: that a van load of frat guys collided with a van load of dental hygienists.

warm and cozy

Every night before we go to bed, Seth swaddles Gromit and lays him in his bed. Okay, he really tells him to get in his bed and covers him with a blanket, but I couldn't pass up the opportunity to use swaddle in everyday conversation.

isn't it ironic

This is by far the best bookmark ever left in a library book. It absolutely made my day.
